Cybermetrics Higher Educational Institution (HEI) Ranking Strategies: Useful Lessons for HEI’s in Ghana to Adopt

Statistics from top world University and higher educational institution ranking agencies including Cybermetrics Lab reveal Ghanaian universities relatively low among their African counterparts in particular the at large. To understand this trend of occurrence an online survey was conducted for depth study methodology to help create awareness strategies can adopt improve positions. This study, which employed Review Research Method, brought fore, three key indicators as bases its rankings “Visibility, Transparency Excellence”. Again, best practices topmost institutions on list were also examined secret behind impressive performance. paper reports proposes strategic schemes that when considered effectively Higher Educational Institutions Ghana standings. Firstly, adoption problem-based learning pedagogies, secondly, fostering e-learning systems tertiary thirdly, promotion open-access institutional repositories publish share high impact scientific, technological cultural knowledge generated by lecturers institutions.
